Digging for Gold: An Evening of Silent Film and Live Music Featuring Buster Keaton’s Sherlock Junior
Town Hall
This event is archived
Our feature attraction is the brilliant comedy Sherlock Junior, with Buster Keaton at the height of his powers in 1924 as a day-dreaming projectionist. The programme will also feature European works including the beautiful Dutch short, Rain (1929), and improvised accompaniment will be provided by musician and broadcaster Nigel Ogden (The Organist Entertains) and acclaimed jazz pianist Alcyona Mick.
Digging for Gold is part of a series of events at this year’s Flatpack Festival, paying tribute to Birmingham-born writer and archivist Iris Barry.
