Birmingham Choral Union

Almost 50 years on from when the Beatles themselves performed at Town Hall, we now welcome the city’s first concert performance of former Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney’s second Oratorio, Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart). The wordless Interlude (Lament) section is a beautiful expression of his grief from his wife passing away.

The hour long Oratorio will be performed by Birmingham Choral Union and Orchestra with Blue Coat School Choirs, conducted by Colin Baines. The concert will also feature Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Dona Nobis Pacem (Give Us Peace).
