Katy Rose Bennett has been playing guitar and writing songs since she can remember. Under the influence of Patsy Cline, Gillian Welch, k d lang and whatever she could lay her ears on, she has been crafting elegant songs of love, loss, humanity and hope.
In the last decade, under the moniker KTB, she released three albums to critical acclaim. She has toured the UK’s folk circuit and played festivals the length and breadth of the land, supporting the likes of Willy Mason, Karine Polwart, Chris Wood and Po’ Girl. But, after releasing her third album, Indelible Ink, in 2009, she thought it time for a change. So she ditched the initials in favour of her real name, Katy Rose. The Cavalry Parade is an array of talented musicians, varying in number from 1 to 10, including multi-instrumentalists Phill Ward, Julia Higgins and Joe Bennett.
