Matinee idol John Barrymore stars as Jekyll and Hyde in this notorious tale of scientific misadventure turned horror story, which has been described as America’s first horror movie. The main feature is preceded by Stan Laurel’s Dr Pyckle and Mr Pryde (1925), where the alternative doctor also finds himself scouring London for victims – of practical jokes. Renowned cinema organist Nigel Ogden, presenter of Radio 2’s The Organist Entertains, will improvise a stunning accompaniment to both versions of Robert Louis Stevenson’s landmark novel.
