The Hare and Hounds

Sons of Kemet is a new quartet led by Shabaka Hutchings on clarinet and saxophone, featuring Oren Marshall on tuba and two drummers, Tom Skinner and Seb Rochford. The music is funky, streetwise and driven by its rhythmic focus, but equally dominated by Hutchings’ and Marshall’s lyricism of clarinet/sax and tuba repectively. David Grey’s equally funky Greyish Quartet are just right for the support slot.

£5.
Tickets available on the door at The Hare and Hounds, 106 High St
Kings Heath, B14 7JZ.
