Spend the afternoon in the company of one of Britain’s favourite pianists, beginning with Beethoven at his most playful and leading to Brahms’s ingenious variations.

BBC Music magazine’s Editor, Oliver Condy, recommends today’s concert: “A meaty recital indeed – from the frenetic opening of Beethoven’s Waldstein to the sonorousness of Brahms’s beautiful Rhapsodies, John Lill is guaranteed to inspire. Incidentally, Brahms’s brilliant Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Handel will be worth the price of your ticket alone. Take it from me!”
