Ex Cathedra celebrates the beginning of its 40th Anniversary Project by recreating a landmark concert in Birmingham’s cultural history, the 1784 ‘Commemoration of Handel’ performance of Messiah which launched the Birmingham Triennial Festival. Ex Cathedra will bring together the best large-scale chorus of its size ever assembled, featuring its unique blend of professional, professionally-trained amateur and student singers, a chorus for the 21st century.
