Fifty years after millions of adoring fans thronged the streets of Paris for the state funeral of Edith Piaf, this large-scale production, premiering a script by Jane Lapotaire, pays homage to the life and music of the troubled chanteuse best known for the classics Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien and La Vie En Rose.

Christie Laume, the sister-in-law of Edith Piaf, has also confirmed her appearance. Her brother, the late Theo Sarapo, was the third and final husband of the French icon. Laume will share her memoirs as a protégé, friend and relative.
