Portico Quartet step out on a UK tour with their third, self-titled album. Melting together fiery saxophones, ethereal hang, electronic beats and a very modern kind of jazz improv, their translucent music can both mesmerize and thrill.

They feed on Steve Reich mathematics, Radiohead dread, African desert grooves and ECM northern melancholy to travel into a new, chiming, cavernous sound-world that is exotic and hypnotic. Mojo

Genuinely innovative…there isn’t a band that sounds remotely like them. The Observer

Support comes from Manchester based DJ/Trumpeter Matthew Halsall, unveiling his new trio with keyboardist Taz Modi (Submotion Orchestra) and drummer Luke Flowers (Cinematic Orchestra). Expect electronica tinged re-imaginings of Matthew’s original compositions and unlikely covers of modern electronic music classics.
