Town Hall 175TH Birthday Concert: Handel's Messiah
Town Hall

Handel’s Messiah – the setting of the greatest of all stories – has been at the heart of Town Hall’s programme throughout its 175 years of existence. Harry Christophers and The Sixteen’s subtle yet energetic CD of Messiah was one of the great successes of 2008, and tonight’s performance of the most popular oratorio ever composed has a vintage line-up of British soloists.
Classic FM’s Anne-Marie Minhall, says of tonight’s recommended concert: “In an interview for Classic FM Harry Christophers said that he never tires of conducting the work, ‘It’s such a wonderful masterpiece… you can never destroy Messiah’.”
