The Choir’s debut, _Voices of the Valley_, became the best-selling classical album of 2006. Fron’s follow-up presents another carefully selected musical mix. The Treorchy Male Voice Choir In Concert

Treorchy was the first male choir to venture into the uncharted territory of popular music and subsequently the choir has made more than fifty commercial recordings, making it probably the most recorded in the world. The choir has also shared the stage with some of the world’s greatest entertainers during its long and illustrious history including Sir Tom Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Dame Shirley Bassey, Katherine Jenkins, Ozzy Osbourne, Jon Bon Jovi and McFly. (Please note that the choir area is bench seating, the benches are behind the stage area, and there is limited leg room and no back support.)

King's College Choir at Christmas

What could be more evocative of Christmas than the magical sound of the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge? This world-famous choir visits Town Hall with a concert of Christmas music ranging from majestic baroque masterworks by Praetorius and Schütz through to quintessential favourites from the Nine Lessons and Carols, including Darke’s _In the Bleak Midwinter_ and Joubert’s _There is no Rose_. *Classic FM’s Anne-Marie Minhall says of tonight’s recommended concert:* _It’s thanks to Henry VI that the Choir of King’s College Cambridge exist. The last king of the Lancastrian dynasty envisaged daily singing in his splendid chapel and to this day that remains the main purpose of the Choir. Tonight a musical festive fayre is promised including Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols, a work based on traditional carols. Good Friday St Matthew Passion
