Room on the Broom

We are currently working with Birmingham based Friction Arts on a project for children and families at St. Thomas’s Children’s Centre. Exploring the ideas in the well-known children’s book Room on the Broom, families have been taking part in a range creative activities using multimedia to manipulate sound and visual art work. Families have been working closely with artists ahead of coming along to a performance at Town Hall and will host their own event at St Thomas’s to showcase and share their work and experiences with one another.
Concerts2Kerbstones has also made it possible for us to offer every child in their first year at a Ladywood primary school the chance to come and see Room on the Broom for FREE. We look forward to continuing our links with local schools and community settings this year.
