Community Spirit

This project was founded in partnership with Town Hall associate artists Black Voices and is all about celebrating and developing community choirs and new choral music.

With workshops and a final performance at Town Hall, this unique project aims to empower community choir leaders, invest in new choral music and celebrate the wealth of choral talent within the Birmingham area.

The 2011 project reached its climax with a final performance in Town Hall on 15 May. Following a series of workshops led by local composers and arrangers, all 11 participating choirs joined together for the showcase, which was a great success.
