We're Going on a Bear Hunt

Over a number of months at the end of 2010 families embarked on a journey with us that explored their local community of Ladywood using ‘We’re Going On a Bear Hunt’ as a theme. The project in its pilot year gave residents the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas with us through creative work while also preparing them for a visit to Town Hall for a performance.
Concerts2kerbstones funding also made it possible for us to offer every child in their very first year at a Ladywood primary School the chance to come and see We’re Going on a Bear Hunt for FREE.
Both the school and community Concerts2Kerbstones programme has enabled us to welcome new friends in Ladywood to performances as well as forge stronger links with our community. This has opened up opportunities to develop the programme following its pilot year, but has equally enabled residents and our partner organisations to experience all that our venues have to offer.
