Ladywood musicians steal the show
Tonight 800 young Ladywood musicians will descend on Symphony Hall to take part in what promises to be a fun-filled showcase of musical talent. Pupils from 22 schools will be performing alongside brass musicians, dhol drummers and an orchestra in front of friends, family and the new Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Cllr. Anita Ward.
Organised by Town Hall and Symphony Hall’s Education and Community team in conjunction with Birmingham Music Service, the event will include an appearance by the Birmingham Music Service Brass Band and other special guests. The action-packed evening will feature classes of string, brass, woodwind, percussion, keyboard and guitar, culminating in a mass vocal piece.
