Town Hall’s ‘highly successful re-opening festival’ was commended at the Birmingham Post’s 150th Anniversary Gala Dinner.

‘The festival was a resounding declaration of intent that the Town Hall would once again resume a central place in the city’ life, serving a wide variety of cultural styles and tastes in a building which could justifiably be called a people’s palace’ the Birmingham Post said at its 150th anniversary Gala Dinner on 29 February. Paul Keene (Director of Programming) and Simon Wales (General Manager, Town Hall) were jointly nominated in the Culture category of the Inaugural Birmingham Post Awards.
