Town Hall and Symphony Hall are situated in the heart of the City of Birmingham within a 5 minute walk of each other.

Symphony Hall is located in the International Convention Centre (ICC) on Broad Street. On entering the Convention Centre from Centenary Square, Symphony Hall foyers are to your left.
NB Hoardings are currently in place across Centenary Square to facilitate the construction of Birmingham’s new library and this will affect pedestrian access. If you are making your way on foot to Symphony Hall from the City Centre your route will be diverted slightly around the Square and along Broad Street, so please allow extra time for your journey.

Town Hall is situated in Victoria Square at the top of New Street.

Due to the close proximity of the National Indoor Arena (NIA), traffic and parking may be problematic on nights when the NIA is hosting large scale events.

Road Closures – Aston Expressway
The whole of the A38 Aston Expressway will be closed northbound (out of the City) overnight, from Monday 25th January 2010 for approximately 15 nights. The closures are expected to apply between 22.00 hours to 06.00 hours the following morning.

The alternative route is via Dartmouth Circus, Aston Bridge, Aston Road North, Lichfield Road to Salford Circus. Vehicles at Park Circus will be diverted via Waterlinks Boulevard and Lichfield Road to Salford Circus.

Closures will not apply on evenings when Aston Villa have a home fixture currently 27th January 2010.

The closures are to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and other associated maintenance works in safety on the slip roads at junction 6 of the M6.

Road Closures – Lancaster Circus
The flyover at Lancaster Circus will be closed overnight (10pm-6am) between August 2009 and March 2010 for remedial work. This is a main route to and from the city centre and the M6 motorway. Alternative routes are available but you may like to allow extra time for your return journey.
