By Road

Birmingham is at the hub of a comprehensive motorway network that connects to every corner of the country via the M5, M6, M40 and M42. Follow signs to Birmingham City Centre then follow the brown tourist signs to the Convention Centre and NIA. (Town Hall and Symphony Hall themselves are not featured on road signage.)

Road Closures

The flyover at Lancaster Circus will be closed overnight (10pm-6am) between August 2009 and March 2010 for remedial work. This is a main route to and from the city centre and the M6 motorway. Alternative routes are available but you may like to allow extra time for your return journey.

In connection with motorway maintenance works the A38 nortbound, including the Dartmouth Circus and Park Circus entry slip roads, will be closed overnight on the following dates:
Thursday 19 November (11.59pm) to Friday 20 November (6am)
Tuesday 23 November (11.59pm) to Wednesday 24 November (6am)
Wednesday 24 November (11.59pm) to Thursday 25 November (6am)
Alternative routes are available but you may like to allow extra time for your return journey.
