International Dance Festival Birmingham 2010

Following on from its success in 2008, International Dance Festival Birmingham returns this April/May, produced by DanceXchange and Birmingham Hippodrome. With four more weeks of fantastic dance activities planned for traditional theatre venues, shop windows, outdoor spaces, and even a canal barge, there will be hundreds of opportunities to experience and be a part of the action-packed programme! For more information visit the IDFB website or email idfb@dancexchange.org.uk.

Performances taking place at Town Hall include the contemporary and traditional flamenco of Chanta La Mui and Gnosis – a new solo work exploring the kathak roots of acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan.

Produced by DanceXchange and Birmingham Hippodrome, International Dance Festival Birmingham 2010 is funded by Advantage West Midlands, Arts Council England West Midlands, Birmingham City Council, and supported by Media Partner BBC WM and Accommodation Partner Crowne Plaza, Birmingham City Centre. IDFB 2010 is working in partnership with the West Midlands Culture Programme for London 2012.
