Sounds of Space

Town Hall and Symphony Hall present a weekend of music, talks and events inspired by the wonders of our universe and beyond.

The Steve Tromans Debop Band gets the weekend off to a flying start. The Symphony Hall foyers are filled with a new specially commissioned piece Musikosmos as part of our Friday evening Rush Hour Blues series. The action then moves inside Symphony Hall for a European Premiere by Houston Symphony, of Holst’s The Planets. The performance is accompanied by previously unseen HD images from NASA.

The foyers come alive on Saturday as they are filled with buzzing entertainment with our Family Foyer Fusion event. Town Hall hosts a very special performance of Brian Eno’s Apollo on Saturday evening, performed by the innovative Icebreaker ensemble and renowned pedal steel guitarist BJ Cole, with NASA footage.
