Glen Campbell in Concert

Sat 18 Oct 7:30pm at Symphony Hall

Glen Campbell makes a welcome return to Symphony Hall Birmingham, following a superb performance in 2006.

In a legendary music career that spans more than five decades, Glen Campbell has achieved chart-topping, platinum-selling pop and country success, singing everyday tales of life, love, work and heartache.

Glen’s new album, Meet Glen Campbell, adds a dynamic new sound to an already impressive repertoire that includes instantly recognisable hits such as By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Wichita Lineman, Galveston and Rhinestone Cowboy.

One of the greatest guitar players in the world, Glen’s special appearances draw sell-out crowds, and with his witty, bantering style, he is still a hot draw on television.

The brand new show for 2008 sees Glen performing his classic hits, but also adding his unique personal touch to contemporary hits by the likes of U2, Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, Green Day, John Lennon and many more artists that you just wouldn’t expect Glen to be covering.

Glen Campbell was already hitting the top of both the country and pop charts by 1969, and he still enjoys a global presence to this day, 37 years later. He performs at Symphony Hall Birmingham with his very special guest, and eldest daughter, Debby Campbell.
