Your Visit to Symphony Hall

NB Hoardings are currently in place across Centenary Square to facilitate the construction of Birmingham’s new library and this will affect pedestrian access. If you are making your way on foot to Symphony Hall from the City Centre your route will be diverted slightly around the Square and along Broad Street, so please allow extra time for your journey.

Due to the close proximity of the National Indoor Arena (NIA), traffic and parking may be problematic on nights when the NIA is hosting large scale events. Please see the News section for the latest updates.

Please note that the A38 tunnels through the city centre will be closed for six weeks this summer while essential refurbishment is carried out.

The St Chad’s and Queensway tunnels will be completely closed to all traffic from 19 July to 2 September. The closure will be preceded by four weeks of overnight closures, from 10pm to 6am, and followed by up to two weeks of similar overnight closures.

Customers are advised to allow for extra journey time when travelling to either Town Hall or Symphony Hall.
