THSH, Birmingham Literature Festival & Birmingham Comedy Festival are proud to present an evening with two of Birmingham’s finest, funniest locals.
Birmingham comedian Joe Lycett, is one of the best-loved performers on the UK circuit, a regular TV panellist and writer of Parsnips, Buttered: how to win at modern life one email at a time. The Guardian described him as a “witty rebel with a series of very small causes”.
Jess Phillips is MP for Yardley, J.K.Rowling’s ‘heroine’ and the writer of Everywoman: One Woman’s Truth about Speaking the Truth. Known for her sass and wit, Julie Burchill said spending time with her “had the tantalising tang of bunking off”.
Join Joe and Jess for wise and witty conversation about writing books, taking on causes big and small, obliterating internet trolls and the joy of being a Brummie.
Sponsored by the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
