Discover the artistry of Dutch soprano Nora Fischer – a singer who defies categorisation – in a programme of music from six centuries.

Nora Fischer is a real original – a soprano who’s as comfortable in the music of the 1500s as she is in the most intricate of contemporary scores.

She’s unquestionably one of the most striking talents in this season’s ECHO Rising Stars series, but for once, the description doesn’t do her justice.

She’s a star already! BBC Music Magazine called her "a revelation, both versatile and virtuosic", and today she’s brought lutenist Mike Fentross and pianist Daniel Kool for a new commission, music from Renaissance courts, and a rediscovery by the Baroque visionary Barbara Strozzi.

Nominated by Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
