The ECHO Rising Stars series spotlights the French string quartet Quatuor van Kuijk, in music by Haydn, Janáček and Ravel.
A programme that ranges from the wit of Haydn to the Gallic grace of Ravel – by way of Janáček's raw passion, and something completely new – should suit them down to the ground. The Guardian has praised their "style, energy and sense of risk" – one reason why the Quatuor van Kuijk won multiple prizes at the 2015 Wigmore Hall String Quartet Competition.
ECHO Rising Stars: Nominated by Cité de la musique - Philharmonie de Paris and Festpielhaus Baden-Baden.
