A concert of brilliant and beautiful music by J S Bach: his mass in G minor, Missa Brevis, BWV235; Cantata 29 (famous for its virtuoso organ introduction ); and Cantata 21, Ich hatte viel bekümmernis, (one of the loveliest of Bach’s cantatas). This will be a special concert directed by Paul Spicer with a superb line up of soloists, orchestra and chamber choir renowned for its Bach performances: “stunning…great waves of beautifully phrased eloquence” (5* Birmingham Post March 2018).
