Alex Woods is an accomplished and multi award winning saxophonist, composer and arranger from Birmingham. His debut album was signed to StoneyLane Records and to mark its release, the music was performed to audiences across Europe and Asia.

He has worked on projects with Grammy award winning artists such as  Vince Mendoza, Lalah Hathaway, The Metropole Orkest (Holland), Jamie Cullum and Charlotte Church.

He has been featured on numerous radio and TV broadcasts with Jazz FM Canada and BBC TV and Radio and was the recipient of the Yamaha Jazz Scholar Award, presented at the Houses of Parliament.

In 2013, having graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Alex moved to New York where he was offered a scholarship to study at the prestigious Manhattan School of masters of music Program.

He is extremely thankful to Dr. John Ruddick MBA and the nationally acclaimed Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra where he was a long-standing member and lead saxophonist.
