There’s been a lot of musical history made in Town Hall Birmingham. Today there’ll be a bit more, as Thomas Trotter gives the first Birmingham performance of a major new organ work written specially for him by Francis Pott. It’s a powerful new addition to a long and noble tradition – and Trotter makes the most of that, pairing it with famous showpieces by Marcel Dupré, Camille Saint-Saëns, and of course Bach.
