When an organ plays, you can’t help but raise your eyes to the heavens. Thomas Trotter has put together a whole lunchtime of music with a celestial theme, ranging from the timeless grandeur of Sweelinck and de Grigny to the unbuckled energy of Holst’s Jupiter. Music by Wagner, Vierné and the astronomer-composer William Herschel means that even if you’re sitting in the stalls, your head will be in the stars.
