To mark the Centenary of the Royal Air Force (1918-2018) and the 75th anniversary of the Dambusters raid a special concert & dance will be held at the RAF Museum Cosford, following on from previous sell out musical events commemorating World War One/D- DAY /Battle Of Britain and the 'Classic Planes Of The RAF'. The Tongue & Groove Big Band will be joined by vocalist and compere Gary Lewis. Featured music will be classic RAF war film themes including the Dam Busters, 633 Squadron, Reach For The Sky and the Battle Of Britain along with the chance to dance to the sounds of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and Duke Ellington.
Guest vocalist for the evening will be 1940s & Vintage Singer Beth Berwick Lowe. There will be exhibition dances by ' All About Swing' and Latin & Ballroom dancers Harriet Smith and Pawel Wieczorek. Held in iconic HANGAR ONE, with over 25 historic aircraft on display its truly an event to wish the RAF a very happy 100th birthday.
