A special opportunity to see a world-renowned artist and multiple Grammy winner perform an exclusive UK date.

Effortlessly combining R&B, soul and jazz influences drummer, vocalist and producer Terri Lyne Carrington is joined by a fantastic band, featuring vocalist China Moses, to perform music from her acclaimed album Mosaic Project: Love and Soul, which showcased a rotating cast of incredible artists including Chaka Khan, Nancy Wilson, Natalie Cole, Gerri Allen and Lelah Hathaway.

During a distinguished career Terri Lyne Carrington has performed with such musical legends as Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves, Carlos Santana Al Jarreau, Joni Mitchell and Esperanza Spalding and won 2 Grammy Awards for her own albums as a bandleader.

This performance is part of an exclusive two day residency visit to Birmingham linked to Jazzlines Women In Jazz programme which will also include a day of workshops led by Terri Lyne Carrington.

For this performance she is joined by a fantastic band featuring China Moses on vocals, Helen Sung on piano, Tineke Postma on sax and Josh Hari on Bass.

Born in Medford, Massachusetts. Terri Lyne Carrington has enjoyed an extensive touring career of over twenty years with luminaries like Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Al Jarreau, Stan Getz, David Sanborn, Joe Sample, Cassandra Wilson, Clark Terry, Dianne Reeves and more. She has also performed on many recordings throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s thru today including Herbie Hancock’s GRAMMY Award-winning CD Gershwin’s World, where she played alongside Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder .
