Masterful Norwegian storytellers Wardruna sign to Sony Music/Columbia Records for the world (partnering with Music for Nations for the UK), and announce European tour dates for 2022.

Wardruna make progressive music: it draws from the past, describes the present and plots the future.

The Quietus

2019 marks ten years since Wardruna’s first release. Sold-out shows at prestigious concert venues around the world including a performance in the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in the United States, and followed by a sold-out European tour. The group's monolithic and cinematic “Runaljod” trilogy based on the Nordic runes has reached its conclusion, and was followed by a stripped-down, fully acoustic album exploring the ancient poetic traditions of the Skalds.

Wardruna's anticipated new album Kvitravn is finally upon us. Throughout eleven songs, Kvitravn discusses Northern sorcery, spirit-animals, shadows, nature and animism, the wisdom and meanings of certain myths, various Norse spiritual concepts, and the relation between sage and songs.

Immersive fifth LP take Norse history and old folk instruments (goat-horn, Kravik lyre) into new spheres across raw, deeply resonant songs. Packs a surprising emotional punch.
