Connecting to the army of music fans and culture vultures out there through digital means is very important to us here at THSH. We’re also very committed to working with Birmingham’s awesome creative and cultural community whenever and however we can.
So as you might imagine, we’re super thrilled to announce that we’ll continue to host the very lovely Birmingham Social Media Café (BSMC) over the next six months, following on from the last six months of successful events which have been held in the foyer at Town Hall.
Each session is free and open to all – whether you’re new to social media, a seasoned user or just fancy a chat about digital stuff with like-minded people over a cuppa.
“The Birmingham Social Media Café is one of the largest networking events in the UK based around the subject of social media and has been running for over 3 years now. It’s attended by creatives and businesses working in many different industries; what they all have in common is their use of social media, whether that’s for promotion, collaboration or creating things online. The event is a very informal, friendly and chatty gathering – we try to make new folks feel as welcome as possible, and it’s free to attend. Just come along, grab a drink and join the rest of us for a chat.”– Karen Strunks, BSMC organiser
BSMC will take place between 10am and 12noon on the last Friday of each month, in the foyer of Town Hall (with the exception of 27 April, which will be at Symphony Hall). The dates for 2012 so far are:
Friday 24 February Town Hall foyer
Friday 30 March Town Hall foyer
Friday 27 April Symphony Hall Cafe Bar
