Deputy PM Speaks At Historic Birmingham Venue

Birmingham’s Grade I listed Town Hall provided the backdrop for a speech by the Deputy Prime Minister to over 200 guests at a Liberal Democrat dinner event earlier this week.

Guests were welcomed to the Bloomberg event by Liberal Democrats Chief Executive Chris Fox before Nick Clegg took to the stage during dinner.

The evening was managed by Town Hall and Symphony Hall’s dedicated events team, with catering supplied by Edgbaston-based Redcliffe Catering.

Town Hall and Symphony Hall Commercial Manager Catherine McGlone, who said, “We’re very pleased that the Deputy Prime Minister and the Liberal Democrats party chose Town Hall as the venue for this special dinner event. The evening showcased the flexible qualities of the building perfectly and we’re delighted to play our part in the overall conference offer here in Birmingham.”

A spokesman for the Liberal Democrats event organisation team said, “All guests who attended the event enjoyed themselves immensely – thanks to the professionalism and efficiency of the Town Hall team. Town Hall Birmingham has hosted many political speeches, rallies and debates in its 177-year history – including notable Liberals David Lloyd George and Joseph Chamberlain.
