Two musicians from the National Youth Orchestra (NYO) hit a high note today as theyperformed on top of the city?s iconic Rotunda building.
The Orchestra, which comprises 165 teenagers from across the UK, is currently holding its summer residency in Birmingham which culminates in a series of musical events at Symphony Hall.
In addition to the NYO Summer Prom (Wednesday 3 August, 7.30pm) featuring pianist Benjamin Grosvenor, two special free events will be taking place in the Symphony Hall Cafe Bar. The next generation of jazz talent will be on display in a NYO Jazz Special taking place on Monday 1 August, while on Wednesday 3 August, NYO players will be performing ?deleted scenes? from Romeo and Juliette written by the orchestra?s own talented teenage composers.
