Fingers crossed for Generation Ladywood

We’re keeping everything crossed for our Generation Ladywood project which has been shortlisted for a Birmingham Mail Local Heroes Award in the Community Project category.

The awards are announced tomorrow (Thursday 14 November) and recognise individuals and groups whose contribution to society makes a real difference to the lives of the local community.

Generation Ladywood is an ambitious legacy project to mark Symphony Hall’s 21st anniversary in 2012 and aims to connect 5,050 young people in our immediate neighbourhood to music. Read more about Generation Ladywood

The project is moving into its second year, but as a registered charity, we need on-going support. Please consider supporting us in continuing to deliver a lasting legacy in Ladywood and inspiring a new generation with music.

Update, 15th November

Following the awards ceremony yesterday afternoon, we are pleased to say that we came second in this category. A big congratulations to Friends in Nechells, a very deserving Community Project of the Year.
