THETIGERWHOCAME TO TEATHEPERFECTEASTERTREATFORYOUNGAUDIENCES

TOWNHALL, BIRMINGHAM
TUESDAY 3 – SATURDAY 7 & TUESDAY 17 – THURSDAY 19 APRIL 2012

“The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don’t expect to see at the door is a big, stripy tiger!”
Extract from The Tiger Who Came To Tea

The Tiger must have enjoyed his tea at Town Hall Birmingham last year … he’s coming back for more! Following last year’s highly successful run, Town Hall is to host 11 performances of the much-loved children’s story The Tiger Who Came To Tea over Easter from 3-7 and 17-19 April.

The classic tale of tea-time mayhem and chaos by Judith Kerr has been a children’s favourite since 1968. Adapted for the stage with songs and lyrics by David Wood – one of the country’s leading writers and directors of plays and musicals for children – it is ideal for those aged 3 and above. The Tiger Who Came to Tea is the ideal introduction to theatre for pre and primary school children and their families and young audiences can expect magic tricks, sing-along-songs and great music, with audience participation encouraged.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea is at Town Hall Birmingham from 3-7 and 17-19 April. Tickets cost £10.50 (plus transaction fee). For further information and booking, visit www.thsh.co.uk
