Applications have opened for our FREE Jazzlines Summer School and we’re inviting you to get yours in for the chance to spend one amazing week with professional jazz educators and musicians. So if you’re a young vocalist or instrumentalist aged 11 to 19, then keep reading…
Over the course of five days, Monday 3 to Friday 7 August 2015, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced educators and leading jazz musicians, including professional trumpet and bass player Percy Pursglove and professional vocalist and songwriter Sara Colman as you take part in a number of activities, including:
• Receiving inspiring tuition from professional musicians
• Learning new creative skills and developing your instrumental & vocal technique
• Improving your ensemble playing and improvisation skills
• Developing your understanding of jazz harmony
• Socialising and creating music with fellow young musicians
• A showcase performance
The week is open to both beginners and advanced players, and will take place in Town Hall, Symphony Hall and the Birmingham Conservatoire.
