Get your applications in for work experience week!
It’s that time of year again when work experience applications begin coming in from all corners of Birmingham. So we thought we’d take the time to shout out about just how exciting a work experience placement with Town Hall Symphony Hall really is. Hopefully helping you decide whether or not work experience at THSH is right for you.
Now firstly, do you love music and the arts? If the answer is yes, then you’ve passed the first test. The next step is getting in touch with a member of our education team on firstname.lastname@example.org. They’ll be able to tell you exactly what you need to do to be in for a chance of being selected for one of the 10 coveted spaces.
But what’s in it for you? Well, you get to spend a week going behind the scenes at two of the most spectacular and highly regarded concert halls in the world. During your time with us you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a variety of departments including, Programming (the masterminds behind the 800 + performances we host each year), Marketing, Technical, Bars and Hospitality and the Education & Community team.
Last year, 10 lucky students had the chance to work through a number of activities and tasks, from creating mocktails to staging a rock concert and playing the impressive Town Hall organ that has over 6000 pipes, some of them 32 feet long.
So, if a week getting to know what goes on behind the scenes at two of the most impressive concert venues in the UK appeals to you, contact email@example.com or call 0121 644 5183. Applications close Monday 30 March.
