Back in August, a number of lucky children involved in our Generation Ladywood project were awarded an array of musical instruments thanks to their hard-work and enthusiasm during the six-month project.
The children were all from schools across Ladywood, and performed in the Generation Ladywood Showcase, sponsored by Service Birmingham.
The ‘No Fear’ awards, presented by Jennie Cashman Wilson of the Abram Wilson Foundation and Tony Lubman chief executive of Service Birmingham were hand-delivered to the excited children by Annette Fitzgerald, head of communications and marketing at Service Birmingham and Emma Nenadic,THSH project manager.
Generation Ladywood, delivered by Town Hall & Symphony Hall, is an ambitious project that aims to connect people in Ladywood to music and the arts. The programme aims to boost confidence and self-esteem, develop skills, raise aspirations, improve wellbeing and reduce social isolation.
