Rookie Reviewer Zoe Lumsden shares her thoughts ahead of Shane Filan’s highly anticipated performance
Only two weeks after Irish country singer Nathan Carter performed at the Town Hall, Birmingham audiences will be greeted by another Irish singer-songwriter, Shane Filan, performing at Symphony Hall on Sunday 26th March.
Following the release of his album Right Here in October 2015, Shane has been touring the UK and has affirmed the album’s huge popularity, following its success reaching #1 in the Irish Album Charts and UK Top 20 in the first week of release.
After his successful time with Westlife, Shane established his solo career in 2013 with his first solo album and has been touring, writing and recording since. His latest album Right Here was recorded in London and Denmark and features Shane’s melodic solo work, as well as a collaboration with guest artist Nadine Coyle, ex-Girls Allowed member, in a fusion of backgrounds as Girls Aloud meets Westlife!
This weekend, Shane looks set to entertain Birmingham audiences with lyrical vocals and folk-like melodies creating a vibrant atmosphere in the stunning venue of Symphony Hall.
