Last week Town Hall hosted an evening of food, drink and entertainment for over 100guests in conjuction with High Sheriff of the West Midlands, THSH Board Member andBBC Editor for Public Space Broadcasting Anita Bhalla.
Since the hall reopened in 2007 it has been used to host a range of corporate events for client ranging from Barclays Wealth and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations to BRMB. The building is also available for private events, which have so far included Bar Mitzvahs and wedding receptions. Town Hall holds a license for performing civil wedding and partnership ceremonies, for which the elegantly refurbished nineteenth century hall provides an impressive backdrop.
A new private hire website has recently been launched which demonstrates the flexibility of this unique and iconic building for commercial use. This latest event was designed to showcase the building?s offer to the Asian community.
Hospitality was provided by two Midland?s catering companies, Mahir?s Experience and Five Rivers, who have recently won contracts to provide bespoke catering for Town Hall events. Guests were also treated to a performance by Bollywood Dreams, in association with sampad.
Anita Bhalla commented, ?The evening was a great opportunity for the business community to hear about the tremendous outreach and community work which the Town Hall does as well as showcasing the potential of this amazing building. Iconic buildings should be flexible and be used by all sections of the community – that was the message of the evening.?
