At the end of November, members of Town Hall Symphony Hall's Development team were invited along to the Speller Metcalfe Christmas drinks event at Gas Street Social, in Birmingham's Mailbox.
Kim Davies, Speller Metcalfe PR Manager & Chris Smith, THSH - Development Officer
Having entertained their guests at the Symphony Hall for the Bridget Jones Diary with Orchestra concert earlier in the month, the Speller Metcalfe team held a great end of year celebration, while also raising awareness for their charity of the year, Property for Kids, by asking for the donation of a small gift.
Karen Daw, Head of Development, and Chris Smith, Development Officer, stopped by with a typical Town Hall Symphony Hall present - a ukulele from the Symphony Hall Gift Shop, offering a child the chance to begin learning a great instrument this Christmas.
As part of Town Hall Symphony Hall's status as an arts charity, a key part of the Learning and Participation work includes Live in the Lodge, a community-led programme of music.
In addition to regular performances, concerts and gigs, featuring both residents and professional touring artists, Live in the Lodge features an ever-growing community choir, performances for local primary schools and weekly instrumental lessons on guitar, drums and of course, the ukulele!
Live In The Lodge is produced by Town Hall Symphony Hall and Mubu Music and is kindly funded by the Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust and Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council.
Free music lessons for the residents of Falcon Lodge are just one of the many ways we connect over 18,000 young people and adults to a world of music and performance. To find out how you can help that work continue visit thsh.co.uk/join-and-support.
