Bostin' Brass, stand-up comedian Nicky Priest, dancers Sohan & Arun Kailey and Halas Homes Sing & Sign Choir all took to the stage at Town Hall on Wednesday 30 May in a concert for the World Inclusion Congress 2018.
We are incredibly proud to be invited by Midland Mencap and Inclusion International to curate this concert. To have the opportunity to present some of the amazing performers that we work with on our accessible and carers programme was something that was too good to miss.Chris Proctor, Programme Manager
The World Inclusion Congress brings together people and organisations from all over the world to learn from and inspire each other in making inclusion a reality for people with intellectual disabilities and their families. The 17th World Congress is organised by Inclusion International and Inclusion Europe, and is proudly sponsored by Mencap.
I'm very proud as Chief Executive of Midland Mencap, a charity founded here in Birmingham by self-advocates in 1950, that the Congress is happening here in Brum, a city that is known the world over as a youthful, diverse and inclusive city.Dave Rodgers, Chief Executive, Midland Mencap
