Town hall is the wan for gok's clothes roadshow

Celebrity makeover expert Gok Wan helped crank up the style dial at Birmingham?s elegant Grade I listed Town Hall recently, with a visit to film for hit Channel 4 programme Gok?s Clothes RoadShow.

The auditorium of the 176 year old concert hall was transformed in to a working set for a recording of the latest in the series which sees the Leicester-born stylist-to-the-masses dishing out fashion tips to audiences across the country.

Filming also took place across Birmingham city centre and during a live catwalk show at the Bullring shopping centre.

Since reopening after an extensive renovation in 2007, Town Hall has quickly established itself as a versatile venue, hosting high profile fashion events such as Retail Birmingham?s annual Style Awards and Style Live, as well acting as a location for recordings of prime time TV shows Trinny and Susannah, Question Time, Andrew Marr?s History of Modern Britain and Songs of Praise.

Endemol UK?s series producer Donna McLaughlin said, ?The Town Hall is a beautiful building and a great setting for our masterclass with Gok while we?re in Birmingham. We are always looking for the best iconic locations across the UK and the Town Hall has ticked all the boxes.?

The new series of Gok?s Clothes Roadshow hit screens on 22 February at 8.00pm on Channel 4.
