The shortlist for the fourth annual Future Faces Awards, to be held at Symphony Hall on 31 August, have been unveiled.

The business awards, which celebrate professionals aged 35 and under across Greater Birmingham, will recognise those individuals doing great things in the voluntary and charity sectors.

Winners will be chosen across eight categories before an overall Future Face of Greater Birmingham is chosen.

Town Hall Symphony Hall's Development Officer (Individual Giving), Laura Tellwright has been nominated in the Arts and Culture category.

Laura joined Town Hall Symphony Hall in July 2017, managing the successful Membership scheme. She has hosted a wide range of Patron events during that short time, including backstage tours of Birmingham REP, Botanical Gardens and provided opportunities for Patrons to ‘play on stage’ – allowing them to experience performing on one of Birmingham's most iconic stages with an exclusive audience of their choice.

Outside of her work at Town Hall Symphony Hall, Laura has set-up her own theatre company. Earlier this year, she produced and directed her first professional production which received nine five-star reviews. She is currently in the process of producing her next two productions and has recently become a member of the JMK Director's Group at Birmingham REP.

Laura has also recently started working in comedy as a stand-up comic, writing her own material and performing at Liverpool’s famous Hot Water Comedy Club and Birmingham’s Glee Club.
