We may be only a few weeks into the New Year but already the shops are filling with cards and gifts ready for Valentine’s Day. Taking a leaf out of their book we thought we’d get in there early and give you some ideas to spend time with the special person or people in your life – single or attached!

1. Film & Food at mac Birmingham

Film and food is on the menu for Valentine’s over at the mac Birmingham, where they’ll be showing two classic films accompanied by some culinary delights. First up is their Valentine’s matinee at 1pm where they will be showing Roger and Hammerstein’s South Pacific followed by afternoon tea for two. Their pièce de résistance is an evening screening of the classic rom-com When Harry Met Sally with a pre-film meal, along with a glass of fizz on arrival and a live pianist.

If you don’t fancy eating out then film only tickets are also available for both screenings.
