A brand-new production of Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks’ best-selling picture book will be at Town Hall this Christmas. We caught up with author Julia a couple of weeks ago, when she was in the city visiting Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, to talk about the upcoming show.
What the Ladybird Heard, which will be at Town Hall from 20 December – 10 January 2014, features two crafty robbers, one tiny ladybird and whole host of farm animals. You can watch our interview in the series of videos below, or listen to it in full on Audiboo here
Where did the idea for What the Ladybird Heard come from?
What does it feel like to see your stories performed live on stage?
How do you keep coming up with new ideas for books?
What the Ladybird Heard is at Town Hall from 20 December – 10 January 2014. As part of the run, we will be staging our first ever Relaxed Performance – designed specifically to enable children with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, learning disability or a sensory and communication disorder to enjoy the show.
