Culture Central are looking for 2,022 young people aged 16 - 25 to take part in a mass performance as part of the Flag Handover Ceremony ready for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The official ceremony will take place on 15th April 2018 and will see young people and artists from across Birmingham come together as part of the Closing Ceremony of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Rapper Lady Sanity, choreographer Rosie Kay and film maker Daniel Alexander have recently been announced as taking part in Birmingham's Handover ceremony, which will take place split between the Carrara Stadium, Australia, and live from Birmingham.
The handover ceremony is an incredible opportunity for the people of Birmingham to put the city's amazing culture, diversity, youth and energy on the world stage. 2,022 young people will come together in a secret city-centre location for a performance choreographed by Rosie Kay that will be broadcast live to one billion people and celebrate Birmingham's status as one of the youngest and most diverse cities in the UK, showing off what the city has to offer ready for the games in four years time.
Rosie Kay spoke about what the performance meant to her, and what a fantastic opportunity the event is for young people across Birmingham.

Applications are open to anyone from 16-25, from trained dancer to total beginner. It truly is a once in a life opportunity to get involved in one of the biggest events in Birmingham's history!
