Town Hall Symphony Hall is committed to bringing live music to the people of Birmingham and beyond. While our iconic venues are closed as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak, the music plays on.
Performances with the best of Brum’s musical talent have been broadcast on Facebook and YouTube to be enjoyed in real time with friends and family. If you missed the Watch Party you can watch and enjoy the performances below.
With the easing of lockdown at the beginning of June, three solo singer-songwriters were invited on to the site of Symphony Hall’s foyer redevelopment to perform. In the last few months, work has continued the transformation of Symphony Hall’s public spaces and though the venue remains closed the music making has begun.
As a music charity, every day that Town Hall and Symphony Hall are closed puts the livelihood of musicians and artists, staff and suppliers in jeopardy. The current COVID-19 crisis will dramatically limit our ability to present the many learning, talent development and community engagement projects that form a vital part of our work and positively impact almost 20,000 young people and adults each year.
